ASI President & CEO 2018-2019
As the ASI President & CEO I was the student body president of 37,000 students. I was the official voice of the student body and was able to advocate for their needs and create positive change on campus. I was also the CEO of Associated Students Incorporated which is a nonprofit corporation on campus that runs and operates 4 major facilities. My day to day duties consisted of meetings with administrators, meeting with students, attending events, and giving speeches.

Implemented live streaming into our senate meetings

Authored legislation to create digital course evaluations

Increased Beach Pantry Usage by 300%

Implemented a Pay it Forward Meal option for students facing food insecurity

Ensured that students sleeping in their cars on campus overnight for housing insecurity reasons, will no longer be ticketed

Started conversations around the implementation of a transportation service for students with different abilities
ASI Chief Government Relations Officer 2017-2018
As the Chief Government Relations Officer I was the Chair of the Lobby Corps Board, which focused on local and state government advocacy efforts for all Long Beach State students. I was also the primary voting member on behalf of Long Beach State to monthly Cal State Student Association meetings, with all other 22 CSU campuses in attendance. I also recorded monthly recap videos to keep students updated on what occurred at the monthly state level meetings. (watch below)
Accomplishments

Led Long Beach State efforts to oppose the potential tuition increase across all CSU's by hosting an on campus event and spreading awareness throughout the entire university

Lobbied to state legislators locally and in Sacramento to share the concerns of LB and CSU students

Prepared the Lobby Corps Board Member and students at large for the California Higher Education Student Summit, led a training

The first chair of the board to institute a policy agenda for advocacy efforts

Started the monthly CSSA meeting recap videos: prepared script and was filmed every month

Supported and advocated for increased resources for housing and food insecure students, as well as AB 540 and undocumented students

Served on various university wide committees

Received the Advancement of Woman Award from the President's Commission on the Status of Women
